Until now the widget spoke only English, and translating it meant passing every string yourself. It now ships in English, Russian, Spanish, French and Portuguese, and picks one on its own: the page's <html lang> first, then the visitor's browser languages, then English.

To choose the language yourself, add it to the script tag:
<script
src="https://bugdump.com/sdk/latest.js"
async
data-api-key="your-api-key"
data-locale="fr"
></script>
or pass locale: 'fr' to Bugdump.init(). The new Language setting on your project's Widget page writes the attribute for you, and the live preview switches to the language you pick.
translations still works on top of whichever language was picked. Set locale to any other code, such as nl, and pass your own strings to add a language we don't ship. The strings that were stuck in English, like the upload progress on the send button and the labels screen readers announce, can be translated too.
Script tag users get it automatically. On npm, update to @bugdump/sdk 0.0.41. To keep the widget in English whatever the page language, set locale: 'en'. Translating and rebranding the widget has the details.
Update: German followed in SDK 0.0.42 as the sixth language. See The widget speaks German and fits phones.
