React and Next.js apps get @bugdump/react
New feature@bugdump/react starts the widget from one provider at the root of a React or Next.js app, gives your components the SDK through useBugdump(), and comes with an error boundary that sends the errors it catches to the Errors page.
The widget now sends the uncaught errors and unhandled promise rejections on your site to BugDump by itself, with the console, network and clicks that led up to them. Repeats are grouped on a new Errors page, and the new CLI turns minified stack traces back into your code.
When a task is assigned, commented on, moved or changed, the people it concerns now hear about it in the app and by email. Nobody is told about their own changes, a burst of edits is one notification, and a bulk action is one per person.
Report limits now count per month, so a project is never used up for good. Reports are kept for 30, 90 or 365 days by plan, the widget tells visitors when a project is full, owners are warned at 80, 90 and 100 %, and email notifications come to every plan.
The widget speaks German and fits phones
New featureGerman joins the widget's built-in languages, addressing visitors with Sie. On phones the panel now opens as a sheet across the bottom of the screen, and the screenshot editor's Cancel and Done buttons no longer fall off the edge.
Claude, ChatGPT and VS Code can now connect to BugDump by signing in, with no token to copy. Personal tokens still work for Cursor, scripts and CI.
The widget now speaks five languages
New featureEnglish, Russian, Spanish, French and Portuguese are built in, and the widget picks one from the page or the visitor's browser. Choose one yourself with data-locale or the new Language setting on the Widget page.
A comment you started is still there when you come back to the task. Changes to your custom properties now show in the task's activity, with the changed words marked. And your AI agent can see which property changed.
Send reports from your own form
New featureA new submit() method files a report from your app's own dialog — your fields, your design — with the same console logs, network requests and session replay the widget attaches.
Filter the board by assignee, assign or re-prioritise a whole selection at once, and jump anywhere with ⌘K. Search now marks what it matched. The Widget page tells you when your first report lands, and your AI agent can write a weekly status report in two calls.
Priority was four fixed choices. Rename them, recolour them, add "Blocker", delete the ones you never use. Alongside it, projects on Pro and Ultra can add their own fields to every task — text, number, date, checkbox, URL, select, multi-select or team member.
MCP access moves to personal tokens that act as you, gains four write tools, and is now free on every plan. The widget snippet, options, allowed origins and keys come together on one Widget page. Existing MCP connections need a new token.
A new setTheme() method switches the widget between light, dark and auto the moment your app's theme changes — and the screenshot editor now honors the theme instead of the OS.
Task numbers used to come from one counter shared by every project, so a brand new project's first bug could be #913. Numbering now starts at 1 in each project, and every project gets a short key so tasks read as BD-42.
Files attached to a task now show up on it
New featureThe Attach files button always uploaded your files — the task just never showed them again. The task screen now lists every file a task owns, adds files at any time, and takes anything you drop on it.
The task panel gains Previous and Next controls with J/K shortcuts, a copy-link button, and a header that no longer repeats itself — plus a widget position option.
The widget SDK is 76% smaller
ImprovementThe script-tag build drops from 117 KB to 28 KB gzipped by loading its screenshot and session replay libraries only when they are actually used — and the recommended snippet now carries async.
